Thanks for the great review, Carmen! So glad you had a wonderful cruise! One question...did you take a cab or public bus to all the sights in Rome or were you able to walk to some of them? Did you do all this in one day? I've never been to Europe and I'm hoping to go someday.

Hi Shari:

We used the Hop On Hop Off bus which took us to most of the attractions. The only walking we did was actually around the sights and we did it in one day. Someday I hope to go back and do a more leisurely tour of Rome to include the Vatican which I did not get a chance to visit.

Thanks, Carmen...I'd like to see the Vatican, too. It sounds like you really did, and saw, a lot in just one day, though. It's nice to know that they have a hop on, hop off bus. It sounds like you had a wonderful cruise, and lots of great sightseeing. That's so great!

BTW Carmen how was the weather?

My DH described it as “brutal” lol. It was very hot reaching 107 degrees in Marmaris, but other days it was in the lower 90s. I was surprised at how hot it was. We were in the Med in June of ’06, temps were in the mid 80s, and I was expecting the same kind of weather.
