Our pet peeve is when on the dreaded disembarkation day they have to call peoples names and cabin numbers to report to immigration so the ship can be cleared. For some they have to announce multiple times to get them to respond.

Usually things go well, sometimes not. Its when things are problematic and you get a less than up front answer or something that is meant to evade the issue that I get upset. Its all about attitude. I figure we are paying good $$ for a service and a service friendly attitude is what I expect. Almost always we get it, rarely do we not. Then i do have to voice a complaint. Also to be fair I am generous with compliments too and always send a letter to the cruise co. afterwards to praise those who served us well.

Our biggest pet peave is the nickle and diming that makes you feel that someone's hand is always in your pocket. A charge for soda, a charge for fancy coffees, a charge for waater, a charge for tips, a charge to go to the nicest restaurants onboard, etc. We love Regent because of the lack of nickle and diming, but it's really too expensive for us. I wish the mainstream lines would raise their fees a bit and include more items.

so do we .... so do we!!!

To be honest, this doesn't really bother me. I would rather they keep the prices where they are, and let me pick the things I want to pay extra for. For example, I don't drink soda on a cruise, so why should I pay more so someone else could get free soda. I go into it knowing that I have to pay extra for these things, so I'm not annoyed that they do charge for them.

It really bothers me when people don't clean up after themselves. This is not just on a cruise but pretty much anywhere. Where is it written that someone else has to take your dirty dishes from the table by the pool over to the dirty dishes stand? Or, your trash that you let blow about the ship?

I guess that could be classifed as a "form of rudeness"; or lack of respect. Take your pick.
