Robert can't help you with the Bahamas but if you get one of those bigger balconies you will be spoiled INSTANTLY
zebra
Large Aft balconies are totally the BEST!!! Yes you will be spoiled for life after that choice. Sorry - the Bahamas is our worst port of call..... we usually stay on the ship if one of our ports of call is Nassau. Key West - Margaritaville is excellent and the prices are good....... Key West is very fun!

DebbieandJerry
You might actually enjoy not getting off the ship. We have done that three times (two because we didn't want to, the other because Jerry was sick). It's VERY nice being on the ship where others are gone. More like your private country club. Key West is a blast. I didn't find it expensive. Most of the places are geared toward beach folks -- lots of people in shorts, t-shirts, "beach attire". boba
Hey Robert, We've been to the Bahamas once and I didn't like it as I just went shopping with dw and her friend. I hate shopping. Next year we're going on Disney Wonder and taking kids to the beach and aquarium at Atlantis. That sounds like a lot more fun. Or how about the casino. I'm sure there's lots to do. Haven't been to Key West, but Thats on my next booking.
zebra
Hey Robert, the Eastern Caribbean IMHO is the best and most beautiful route (especially St. Maarten) we just choose cruises that don't stop in Nassau if we can help it, or as Debbie says if you love the rest of the itinerary, just stay on the ship..... we LOVE having the ship to ourselves. There are only a few people at the pool and you virtually have the jacuzzi's to yourself.... it's the BEST!!!
TXCRZR
Thanks everyone looks like the Bahamas is like Jamaica, no one wants to get off the ship!! Ill just hog up the Jakuzzi
DebbieandJerry
Actually, we have stopped in the Bahamas more than once and have gotten off the ship. We paid for the Atlantis aquarium tour the second time we were there and found it very fascinating. The hotel is magnificient and worth walking around (but very expensive). Jerry stayed in the casino each time and enjoyed himself for the 6+ hours that we were docked. We also spent some time in their straw market and found some truly wonderful "parting" gifts that we had to buy. I wouldn't say it's as bad as Jamaica. In Jamaica, I feared for my safety. I never felt that way in the Bahamas.
