What Souvenirs do you tend to collect?

We always try to collect a Christmas ornament wherever we go. Our tree is a monument to all the places we've been, and we get to relive our memories as we hang each special ornament.

I collect a lot of things, that's why I always have to pack an extra suitcase. I always get shot glasses (already filled a 42 glass case, and working on a second case) plates, polo and t-shirts (especially from HRC and PH), bumper stickers, magnets, post cards, coffee mugs and a tote bag with the country's name that I am visiting on it. I also get something that represents the area I am visiting, i.e., miniatures of the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a gondola/mask from Venice, St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, a replicia of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, etc.

I have added some since my last cruise.

Carmen, I'm just getting around to checking out past postings. I looove your collection of souvenirs! I think it really brings the memories to life, even years later. I have hundreds of souvenirs from all over, myself. Here's a post of my all-time favorite. It's the little llama on the right. It was a gift forty years ago from an indian artisan in Bolivia. There's a long story about how this came about, and I won't bore you with it now. Suffice to say, this still is one of my most cherished memories. It was also the trip, by the way that included my first cruise.

I usually collect T shirts from the different ships.

i also like magnets. my kitchen has not been re-done so i have the clutter. coffee mugs are up there and good quality tee shirts. the photos of souvenirs are fabulous.

These are from my early trips to the orient. Of course, the ivory can no longer be imported, due to the over-hunting and poaching of elephants. It was not a known problem back when I did my first travels.

We collect the typical "tourist" t-shirts and polo shirts from the ships (ones that have them) and we also keep and display our boarding passes on our world Map.
