Formal Night What do you wear?

When you are on a cruise and its formal night what do you wear? You can also vote for your partner/spouse or traveling companion

Hey Joey. 1st cruise I did tux on formal amd suit on semi. Other 3 cruises I've done suits. If I want to wear a tux, I'll rent one from the ship. Less luggage. :cool2:

We do Tx and Gown. I bought a tux because of cruising. It is always fun dressing to the nines. :thumbup:

Howie has always worn a suit except for our 20th anniversary cruise, he rented a tux from Celebrity.

I generally wear gowns both formal nights but lately it's been gown 1st one and dress 2nd one.

There were no formal nights on six of the eight cruises we've had since 1/1/04 (3 Windstar, 2 Radisson/Regent, 1 Avalon, 1 HAL, 1 X). On the two cruises (HAL and X) where we've had formal nights, I wore a dark suit and Joan wore a caftan. (She has three or four lovely caftans, 2 of which were bought in Morocco.) I guess that counts as a gown for purposes of the poll.

Until I either cruise more often on ships with formal nights, or have a wedding for my 33 year old son, I'm unlikely to buy a tux.

Joan is wearing one of her Moroccan caftans in our avatar picture. That was taken on the Wind Surf, which does not have evening dress codes. We were dressier than usual for the captain's reception.
