Now it's a category 1 hurricane, which is expected to be a category 3 hurricane before it has a U.S. landfall. Ouch! DebbieandJerry Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 We were in Belize about 10 days after their hurricane (November 2008). The ocean was still unsettled and the locals discouraged us from snorkeling out at the reef. We were also slated to go Eastern Caribbean one year and a hurricane was coming so the ship diverted to Western Caribbean. So, no worries about being dragged off kicking and screaming.
