From the Mariner of the Seas!

Hi from the Mariner!!

We got to the port at 11:00 and with Platinum status they whisked us onboard immediately. No lines - awesome!

What a beautiful ship... we haven't seen much yet, but what we have seen - we are VERY impressed.

As soon as we boarded we met up with Rose, Howie and Crazie, how awesome was that!! So the 4 (sorry 5) of us went directly to the Windjammer for a scrumptious lunch.

At embarkation they handed us a letter from the Captain telling us that we will not stop in the Bahamas.... oh shucks because they are going to need an extra day at sea to "sail around" tropical storm Hanna - so we will be going to St. Thomas and St. Maarten via the loooong route.... yippeeee!!

After the yummy lunch we headed to our Junior Suite - it's super large and pretty!!!! Lots of space, including a walk-in closet and large balcony with 2 chairs, table and a chaise.

Well I'm using my Verizon card right now in port, but I promise to check in during the cruise as well to give you more info.

We are now going to stroll the ship to familiarize ourselves...... speak to you soon.
