zebra
Hi from St. Maarten, What a gorgeous day - turquoise waters and bright sun! We are sorry to see beautiful St. Maarten (Phillipsburg) morphing into a mini Charlotte Amalie - just wall to wall jewelry stores. It's still stunning and even better if you head out of town. I wanted to mention a couple of small things that we really love about this ship..... yes small - in the elevators they change the day of the week... it's a section of carpet as you step into the elevator - that really helps me as never know what day of the week it is. They also post the ganway details for debarking or island stops..... it's really handy having this posted on the wall of the elevator. Another great little thing is having a dial in our cabin where we can turn the public announcements either on or off and also turn piped music on or off. Well Tony has gone off to the theater to watch The Bourne Ultimatum and here I am chatting to you!! Last night the Ice Show was spectacular!! After dinner we were tired and went off to bed so we missed the "win a cruise" Bingo and the Newly Wed Game...... oh well. This evening is going to be so great stting out on the balcony having a glass of wine. OH yes... I smuggled some on board. I put a bottle into each checked bag and a bottle into our carry on and we figured if they confiscated it we deserved to have it taken for being bad little boys and girls.... but hey all three sailed through with no problems! It was so cute... we asked our cabin steward on the first day to please bring us plenty of ice and 2 wine glasses, he leaned forward close to us and asked "will that be for red or white wine"...... I loved it!!!!! Miss you all..........
cruisetarp
Hi Jackie - glad you had a good day in St. Maarten. It is one of my favorite ports once you get out of the town. Don't you just love the Day of the week in the Elevators? When we took the twins they rode the elevators late at night til they finally saw them chang the day. One night they were running late and when they got down to the 1st floor the guy was standing there waiting for them. Have a good sail home - wishing you calm sea and blue skies

deb1220
Jackie - when we were on Adventure...we also thought that was cool how they changed the days on the elevator. I'm with you -I never know what day it is when I'm on a cruise!

hazelson
Hope you are staying clear of all that nasty weather!
zebra
Well we are back in port at Port Canaveral.... boo hoo!!! Yes we kept clear of the nasty weather Jenn - we had spectacular weather and calm seas all the way home from the islands - you would never have known Ike was out there. I can safely say that cruise experience wise... this was our favorite cruise so far!! Now if the itinerary was the Med it would have won hands down. We loved everything about this ship and her amazing staff and made so many fantastic friends. If you have any questions about the Mariner please feel free to ask. Chat with you later when I get home.... I have to get to my LAST breakfast onboard!!!!
