deb1220
We have on our 2 Princess cruises - wine & beer.....was totally legal. We didn't on our last RCI cruise because they said if you were caught you could actually be "kicked-off" the ship. Didn't want to take the chance. Joanandjoe
There's been no reason for us to do so. Regent includes alcoholic beverages. Windstar and HAL allow you to bring wine onboard in moderate quantities. I suppose it's cheating that we bought rum on our HAL Caribbean cruise and brought it onboard; but all that would have happened if we had gotten "caught" was that it would have been held until the end of the cruise. That would have been fine with us. We don't usually drink anything harder than fortified wine (port and sherry) anyway; so there would be no point in sneakinging anything on baord. zebra
As we usually cruise Princess and Celebrity, we don't have to sneak wine onboard. But this year we have cruised on Carnival and RCI. Carnival allows 2 bottles of wine and we had to push the envelope and take three onboard. They were all in my carryon and the TSA guy said - hey you have three bottles in here (looking at his screen) I said OK if that's a problem I'll give one to the people behind us in the line who we had befriended during our one hour wait! He just shook his head and told me to go....... yeah! RCI has a no liquor/wine to be brought onboard policy. So we tested them too  On RCI we put one in my carryon, and one in each of our checked bags. We were quite prepared to have them confiscated, but hey they all made it through unscathed. So I guess I'm the rebel of the group.
RNSANE
I certainly have brought alcohol on board and I often bring a case of wine, marked, and distributed to some of the officers.
sailingrose
I bring it without a problem on all the lines we sail. Some allow it some don't but if you don't abuse it, its not a problem.
radiofreebcj
If you want to sneak alcohol on board, here's a good way to do it...bribe your cabin attendant to bring some onboard. They're allowed to bring alcohol onboard, and they can bring it up to you. It's strictly forbidden, but everyone does it.
jacketwatch
I have an amusing story about this. I found a brand of Vodka (Dansk) that is in metal bottles. Perfect! I can put them in my suitcase and they won't break. Last May I went to get some B4 our AOS cruise. and the check out lady said "you must be going on a cruise." I said how did you know and she told me about another guy who bought this brand and it was for the very same reason. GMTA!
DebbieandJerry
We don't drink alcohol so I had to answer no. Had you asked about soda, snacks, chips or peanuts, now that would be another story. We usually stop at a grocery store before boarding the ship. We stock up on soda, snacks, etc. That was what the empty suitcase was for. We always left the unconsummed items for the room steward at the end of the cruise (can't take open containers of food off the ship). Guess I'll have to squeeze an empty carry on in one of the suitcases so that we can make our grocery run in March!
93Kompressor
Check out "rum runner flasks" on the web. They even have a cruise package.
