JoeyandDavid
Buffets tend to be a big part of the cruising experience. So answer me this.. Which Cruise line hosts the best buffet?
coloradocruisers
Of the three lines I've tried (Disney, Carnival, Princess), I'd have to say that Princess has the best.
cruisingcats
Well I have only been on one cruise ship so I have nothing to compare to. NCL Star imo has a pretty good buffet. Lots of variety....omelets made to order . Really like having the fresh fruit available.

deb1220
I have to agree with Kevin. I've been on NCL, RCI and Princess and I'd say Princess had the best because there's always plenty of food, great variety, special custom food preparation stations (ie omelets) and the beverage stations were always well stocked with ice and cups, etc. I just thought it had the best set-up also! Joanandjoe
Not counting our river cruise, I'd rank the lines on which we've sailed as shown below. There are two number ones because the food was freshest on Regent, and had the best variety on Windstar. # 1 (freshness and service) - Regent #1 (variety - almopst no repeats on a two week cruise) Windstar #3 - HAL #4 - Celebrity #5 - Regal Empress (but she's a grand old dame)

Rat
I have to agree with Joe.....Regent. Even though I never sailed with them, my family and I had the opportunity to tour the Voyager and have lunch in their buffet. We were guests of Jeff (Kroooz-Cams fame). We were really impressed with the food, selection and service. I know this was only one meal, but it definitely left a lasting impression! zebra
I would say Princess wins hand down with regard to the buffet. We didn't like the way HAL and Celebrity have servers by many of their foods. Princess and RCI's omelet stations are better than Celebrity too. Princess has a very successful Eggs Benedict on the buffet (yes with Hollandaise Sauce, Joey) and they aren't under an intense light to make them "hard cooked". RCI has lemonade which I love. Disney was OK too. OK enough waffling (excuse the pun)...... my answer is Princess.
