Buffet Lines

Well, with 68 Royal Caribbean cruises under my ever widening belt, I have to say Royal Caribbean. I have done Princess a few times and one Celebrity - didn't find either any better.

Of the three lines I've tried (Disney, Carnival, Princess), I'd have to say that Princess has the best.

what made princess stand out in your mind kevin?

More food, better food, and late night availability.

I'm not a big buffet fan and it also depends on if it's breakfast or lunch.......Breakfast goes to Celebrity for the waffles alone but in general Princess would be our choice. Lunch goes to RCI I like the selection of cold food.

We've done all our cruises with Carnival and RCI. I would say that the buffet in the Windjammer on RCI is better than on Carnival because there is a separate station for each type of food resulting in no lines at all. For example, the salad bar is in a separate area from the rest of the food. The Oriental food is at it 's own station as is the grill, the dessert, the pasta, etc. Although Carnival still has it's midnight buffet, which RCI only has one night of, Royal has lunch, then afternoon snack , which is really a whole meal , then dinner. We're better off not eating at midnight anyway. We pack in enough food during the day to last us till lunch time the next day. We always sleep through breakfast.
