JoeyandDavid
We see that cruises can be extended or shortened because of mechanical problems weather situations.. and other reasons..The ramifications of these changes can be so much more than an extended vacations.. missed airline connections.. rescheduling hotels and stays If you have ever been on a cruise that was extended or shortened how did this effect you? or If this hasn't happened to you.. what precautions would you take in case of a missed embarkation or disembarkation? zebra
Just make sure we have made provision for Gucci before we sail, other than that we'd whooop it up if it was extended!!! Hey free cruise days, you can't beat that.

cruisetarp
On our Grandeur cruise a few years ago we were due back in Baltimore at 7AM. We did not get there until 4PM. During that time the internet and phone were free and they had staff assisting in making hotel reservations and changing flights. We drove to the port so we weren't affected too much but we did get nearly an extra day at sea, several hours of free drinks, plenty of good food and everything was fine by us. The biggest problem was this was September 10th and many people who missed their flight connections refused to fly on September 11th. The cruise line put them up in hotels for the extra day. Did the cruiseline eat all those change plane fees?
hazelson
I guess I might have to make a call home and then rinse out a couple of "dainties" - a big price to pay but heck lol.

Did the cruiseline eat all those change plane fees? We had no first hand experience with plane fees but they said they would be paying any fees associated with changing flights.
