Each of us have our favorite lines..

What is it about your favorite line that makes the embarkation or disembarkation process special for you..

For me it's a Celebrity embarkation.. the way they great you with Champagne then have a staff member escort you to your stateroom..

I've had very few cruises that didn't start with aq glass of champagne as I boarded; so, fo me, that doesn't distinguish one line from another.

For me, the best thing about embarking on Regent is knowing that I'm about to have a Regent cruise. I suspect that's the best thing for everyone, on every cruise line: knowing that your cruise is about to begin.

Knowing that my cruise is here and I am ready to board. NCL is the only one have I have been on so it is my favorite right now. When we go on our cruise in February they now give you a glass of champagne and an escort to your cabin. Looking forward to both.

We have been on NCL, RCI and Princess. They have never greeted us with champagne but on NCL and RCI we were escorted to our room. I have to agree with Joe that the best thing about embarkation is knowing you're going on the cruise - it's finally here!!!

We also have never seen much of a difference from line to line. The embarkation is always special, and disembarkation is not.

We've almost never been escorted to our room, because we usually come onboard before the rooms are ready. Most of the lines we've been on will do it, but not if you're onboard at 11 a.m.

I don't care for Champagne much, so that's no biggie for me. We've been escorted to our rooms on many different cruises. I think the thing that I have enjoyed the most has been on our RCI embarkations. We are Platinum on Princess/Celebrity/RCI but each time we have cruised on RCI we have got to the port at 11:00, they have met us at the check in desk and literally whisked us away onboard while the others are still standing in lines. That to me has made them memorable embarkations. As others have said too, as soon as I am onboard it's a wonderful feeling... YEAH!!!!!

For me it's just the WOW factor of seeing the inside of a new ship. i usually walk around for about an hour with my mouth open in amazement.

Do you remember the first time you cruised and you saw your ship? I still capture that very special moment every time we sail. I am truly a kid when it comes to vacation. I am so easily amused!

I have to agree with Joey about how Celebrity greets you. Nothing like starting off feeling like a princess!
