GottaCruz
When cruising, what do you take along to keep you occupied when you're just relaxing on deck or in your cabin? I always take a couple of good books along and I always take my crocheting. Aside from keeping me occupied when just relaxing, they help keep my hands off of food, at least sometimes. Gregswife
Like Rose, I take my iPod and a couple of books. If I have my laptop with me, I also take along some movies.
coloradocruisers
I'll take a book; but usually don't read too much of it. I just prefer to watch the sea go by.
cruisetarp
I always take a book with me. I love to sit with a cup of tea and a book and wait for the ship to come to life in the morning.
deb1220
I usually bring a book and some Sudoku and Crossword puzzle books......but sometimes I just like to people watch and stare out into the "wild, blue yonder"!
Joanandjoe
We take lots of books, and exchange them for more in the ship's library. Typically, Joan reads a book a day, while I read one every two days or so. We spend some time on the computer, do a lot of walking (especially me), and spend time in the shops laughing at the prices and rarely buying anything. We also do a lot of trivia: on our last cruise, we went to trivia five of the eight days, and were on the winning team three times. By the second day, we hooked up with two other trivia nuts, and that's when we started to win. If we're close to shore, we sepnd time in the observation lounge watching the scenery go by. In Alaska, that's a spectacular thing to do.
rogue
Cindy will read lots, and I will stare at the ocean. It's amazing how much you can see out there.
cruisingcats
A good book, puzzle book and people watching. Also love to see what kind of wildlife I can spot.
zebra
Welllllll..... I take my laptop, BUT, I spend so much time being busy with activities on the ship that I don't have much down time. I used to when I was exhausted from work... then I would take books, but now I'm busy being busy onboard
