Who or what influenced you to try your first cruise?

For us, it was my parents, who cruised a couple of times a year. When the kids were little, we tried a hotel and came back needing a vacation. We had to entertain them, there were no kids their age that we could find and it was annoying figuring out where to eat. When we came back, my parents said that we should try cruising , we did and love it.

Howie's fault I guess.......he suggested it for our honeymoon. I wasn't too keen on it but we went ahead an did it and the rest is history as they say.......I Love it more then he does!

I suggested it as our delayed honeymoon. Rita was reluctant at first as she was afraid of getting motion sickness. We never suspected we would become addicted!

my friend's friend have been on cruise lot of times and have thought of my friend and thought it will be cool to have small group cruise and my friend ask me if i would love to go on cruise with her so we did book and also i thought of other friend of ours whom we grew up with and he did book himself along with us,

and the trip was BLAST we had fun and we are already hooked and ready to book our 3rd.

My wife Michele kept bugging me to go, boy am I glad she did 21 cruises and still going strong.......

My first one I got all the seasick meds I could get. (never had to use any at all)

For me, it was my kids. I just had to get away from them for a week, and where better than at sea where they can't get in touch.

For us, we drove past a ship in the Tampa port, which got me researching and led to our first cruise booking!

DH's idea really so I must give him all the credit. At his job all of his buddies have done several cruises so I guess it was peer pressure. From what I've seen on this board it looks like we will be hooked.
