Shari2
We usually just cruise for a vacation, but Marc and I did our first cruise together for our honeymoon. Our last cruise to Hawaii was not meant to be a birthday cruise, we just got a great price, but my birthday was on the day before our last, so it was wonderful for me. Everyone at our table brought me a card, and the waiter brought a cake, and everyone sang. My birthday is a week before Christmas, so it's usually hard to celebrate then, so this was really special to me. We were with friends, and had some wonderful table mates, so it was a wonderful and memorable cruise. Hubby even bought me a corsage of white roses and a beautiful garnet ring. KeithnRita
We've only cruised two times on our actual anniversary date and about six times on my birthday. The anniversaries were planned. Cruising on my birthday is only because it's so close to New Years.
Joanandjoe
Our two Alaska cruises were booked to celebrate our 30th and 40th anniversaries; but neither one included our actual anniversary. Since both of us have November birthdays (Joan 24th, Joe 3rd) and November is my prime vacation time most years (but, sadly, not this year), we've had several cruises that fell between our birthdays. We have never been at sea on either birthday. We hope to change that. Our next cruise, which may be booked as early as today, would begin on October 30, 2009, and would include my 65th birthday on the only sea day.
