Cruise Questions for October

Yes DH & I have used the internet but not cell phone and maybe only once or twice during a week long cruise.

Do you use the internet or phone to keep in contact with home or work?

We've never used the internet aboard ship. We do take a cell phone for convenience but we don't call home from the islands. My daughters know if they need to reach us in case of an emergency they can call the ship.

We called home once from Jamaica to say " nyah nyah " to the kids. Other than that , we go without contact for the week.

The first time I used internet on a ship was in 1999. We were on our Panama Canal trip and we had left the boys and the dogs home alone. I was on the internet with them checking in, every single day.

Since that time, I've brought my own laptop with me and connected with whomever was watching the dogs. The boys are married and no longer at home. And, if we have phone reception I do call home by cell phone.

Hubby calls work on the very last day of the cruise to see what job he has to do the following day.

No contact at all lol. We always take the cell so in an emergency we can be reached - and we leave an in depth itinerary with phone #s.

Otherwise I'm on vacation - trouble leave me alone!

In my office, part of the "price" of going on vacation is being available by phone (my cell phone is provided by my office) and internet. My office, having required me to use both, pays for both.

If I can only pick one......it would have to be my sandals. Have to have something cool and comfortable to walk around the ship and ports with
