sailingrose
This is tough and I made the question......LOL! My thermal coffee cup.....used for coffee, water, and spirits. I pretty much carry it all the time.
coloradocruisers
What is the most one thing in your suitcase you must have on your cruise? You can only pick 1!!! I'll say swimsuit.
Joanandjoe
Since presumably things like medicines or sun block don't count (if you need them, you must have them), my answer is nothing or everything. I don't have any special item. I don't own any sandals or have a special hat, don't drink coffee, and have had half of my cruises to places too cold for a swimsuit; so my "one item" certainly isn't any of those things. I can't even say that I must have my camera: we've forgotten it once or twice, and simply purchased a cheap one on the trip.
Joanandjoe
Let's keep the question about the one "must have" item open, and add this one: If your ship has a self service laundromat, do you use it? While doing laundry is not our idea of an ideal vacation activity, the cost of using the ship's laundry service is so outrageous that we usually do a wash or two during a cruise. Not having a laundromat (HAL Vista ships, Celebrity) is a definite minus for us.
sailingrose
Nope! We did once on our kids 1st cruise but never again since. I'm on vacation, I'm not doing laundry!
KeithnRita
We can't think of just one must have item in our suitcase. We have not and will not do laundry!
cruisetarp
No laundry for me either. It can wait til I get home and my vacation is over.
eaststandbaggie
Being new to cruise crazies and my wife and I having only been on one cruise. I was wondering wether most crazies choose their cruise for the cruise company, home port or destination.
sailingrose
Chris, our choice varies because of my husbands business. If we leave the timing out of it I guess price and itinerary would be next. I'll try just about any cruise line so that matters little to me. eaststandbaggie
We booked our first cruise purely on the basis that the only ship that went to the Canaries on a fly cruise at easter was the one we went on. This was on an economy cruise with mostly British passengers but we enjoyed it. We have been to 2 of the islands before on annual vacation so knew what to expect at each destination. I also have to fit in with company shutdowns so I cant be at all flexable. We have booked the eastern mediterranean for next September. Again it falls in to a shutdown and also because we love that part of the world. Hope one day to do the caribbean but the airfair is too high at present, all the cheap deals are during the hurricane season and we dont fancy that. Cheers Chris
