deb1220
We prefer mid-ship - usually decks 7 - 10 depending on the ship. Once we were also right below the pool deck in a balcony room and heard the scuffling of the chairs in the morning and even got sprayed on our balcony when they were hosing off the pool deck. We're not doing that again!
DebbieandJerry
Because we tend to vacation with other families, we try and get rooms close together. We also want balconies with unobstructive views. Most of the time, we are pretty high up because that's where the first two "criteria" have rooms. We've been next to the elevator (noisey and not doing that again). We've been under the pool deck (again you can hear the chairs move every morning and again every night). We've been by the anchor. Now that was something the first time we heard that drop. We are so happy to be on a cruise that I'm not sure it would matter. Okay, maybe it would matter a little bit. Joanandjoe
We prefer booking midship, since the ride is smoother there. On Regent, we get the lowest, least expensive room; again, for a smoother ride. On mainstream lines we usually end up pretty hight, because the nicer cabins are usually higher. MarcyandJames
We usually try to get as close to mid ship and halfway up or higher. But like everyone else we are just happy to be on the ship. Also have to have a balcony now cuz were spoiled.
