Solstice - your opinion.

On the new Celebrity Solstice they have made the cabin doors open out into the hall - great idea for extra cabin space. Do you think this will cause accidents having someone open their cabin door in your face as you are walking down the hall? Or not?

It certainly sounds like an accident waiting to happen to me. Have they made the hallways much wider?

I can only imagine that they must have made the hallways wider..... don't know.. Can you imagine all the seasoned cruisers - it's going to take a lot of reconditioning to pull the door open as opposed to the hefty push that we've all become accustomed to.

Knowing this board, someone will probably sail on the ship soon, and give us their opinion. I'll admit that the idea doesn't sound good; but ship designers usually know what they're doing.

If this is the worst thing that Jackie and Tony have to worry about, they're very lucky people.

From a fire or emergency standpoint, I can see pushing the door open from the inside.

Guess we'll have to wait for the person or persons who cruise Solstice to tell us what it's like.
