Greetings,

I am new to this site and have lots of questions so bear with me.

We are sailing in 2 weeks on the Freedom. We splurged and got two Grand Suites. My questions are: What are the special perks I keep hearing about for the suites? How is the concierge lounge? Do we tip the concierge and if so, will there be an envelope included at the end of the cruise?

We have done balcony rooms in the past but wanted to splurge on this one because it will be the last cruise with all 6 of us together. Hope the extra expense is worth it. Want to be pampered and made to feel a little special.

One other question...our documents say not to arrive at the Miami port before 2pm. Since we have a suite, I read somewhere that we can board before the other guests, is this true.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi again, it's great to see you posting already.

I have not sailed on the Freedom or from Miami but every port I have sailed from has a separate check in for suite guest and diamond C & A. You should get priority boarding. The documents always say 2PM but we have always been on the ship and eating lunch in the Windjammer by noon.

The Concierge lounge is a nice place to spend some time socializing and we tip the Concierge according to what types of services he/she performs for us. On our last cruise we just took an envelope for him from the folder in our room.

Can't help you with the other perks for the suite but I'm sure it will be great.

Thanks MaryLou,

Just being on a ship again will be great. Last cruise was in Jan., way too long. We are going to do more last minute cruises next year.

Anyone else know about the perks associated with the Grand Suites?

Karen
