Ocho Rios

Does anyone have suggestions for Ocho Rios? I have read that the vendors can be pushy so shopping can be unpleasant. Also, the one excursion that everyone suggest, Dunn's River Falls, is out of the question. I have a very bad back and don't think I could walk up it. So, should we just stay on the ship and enjoy the day with less crowds? Are can someone suggest something else?

When we were in Ocho Rios we took the island tour that included a stop at Dunn's River Falls - no climbing the falls. It was real nice!

I would not attempt to shop there. Not only are the vendors pushy but you are also approached by pushy drug dealers.

We tubed down a river in Ocho, it was great. Have done Dunns river too and it's tough work! Yes the vendors are pushy.....

You could walk over to shopping area, I think it's called Island Village.....the have a Margaritaville there. Of course you have to get past the cab drivers first! LOL

Last time we just went to the shpping area by the dock. They hand out tickets for a free shot (very little alcohol in a very small glass) but it was still cool.
