TheSkipper
Following our May cruise, we want to rent a car and drive to Tampa and fly out of there the next day. Anyone had any experience with car rental companies in Miami with Cruise Terminal pickup??
DebbieandJerry
We've rented a number of cars from Miami airport terminal, but not the cruise terminal. They have shuttle buses at the airport that will take you to the car rental places. The buses, however, stop at every baggage claim door and pick up people so don't be in a hurry. I don't recall seeing car rental buses at the cruise terminal. Might be a good question to ask before booking the reservation. The last time we rented a car in Miami, it took forever. The first car all 4 tires were bald. They tried to tell us that they were brand new. The next car we actually drove off the lot and drove right back in. The brakes were faulty. The next car was the one we finally settled on. (And I'm sure it was a big name company that we rented from.) Enterprise is one of the only rental companies that doesn't charge for picking up in one city and dropping off in another.
