Our first cruise was August 20, 1984, our honeymoon. We sailed on Chandris(now Celebrity) Victoria from San Juan. We went to St. Thomas, Martinique, St. Vincent , LaGuarira Venezuela and Curacao. The brochure for this cruise was all of 4 pages.......the ship had 1 restaurant boy have times changed! Dining was an event each evening and there was no such thing as casual dress, Howie had to wear a jacket every night. This was billed as a ship for honeymooners and we met many of them during our week. I remember being schooled on how to greet the captain by the social hostess, LOL! I was scared to death! It was the start of my love affair with the sea, one that continues with great joy today.

Our first cruise was in February of 2002 aboard the Norwegian Sky. We had a tiny Oceanview stateroom (with a porthole) on Deck 4! The waves would splash against the window - we loved it!!!

The itinerary was E. Caribbean - Miami, Nassau, San Juan, St. Thomas and NCL's Great Stirrrup Cay, Bahamas.

And now we're hooked!!!

Our first cruise was in 1998, in celebration of our 30th anniversary. It was on the old HAL Noordam, to Alaska northbound: Vancouver, Ketchikan, Sitka, Hubbard Glacier, Valdez, ending in Seward. We then spent two nights in Anchorage before returning home. We enjoyed it, but weren't really hooked untitl our third cruise, in 2003 on the Rotterdam, to Canada-New England.

Our first cruise was August 11, 2007 sailing to Alaska. Our 30th Anniversary was in April but had to wait until August to go. This was our gift to each other. We were aboard the Norwegian Star out of Seattle to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Prince Rupert for 7 days. Couldn't have asked for a better first cruise. Had a great time and I feel in love with cruising. Can't wait to go again.

Our first cruise was in July 2000. We sailed out of Port Canaveral on board the Disney Magic for a four-day Bahamian cruised, with stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay. Then we stayed at Disney World (Polynesian Resort) for several days in the Disney parks, and a couple at the Universal parks. We stopped in Vicksburg, Mississippi on the way back and toured the Civil War battlefields. It was a very busy trip, and we wished that we'd scheduled the cruise last! On our next trip, we skipped all the parks and just did a 7 day cruise. Much more relaxing.

My first cruise was July 1966 on the Old Home Lines Homeric. In those days there was no age restrictions to cruising and my first cruise was with my 2 best friends MaryAnn & Pat. All 3 of us just one year out of High School, 18 years old, sharing an inside cabin with enough luggage between us to take a world cruise. We could have stayed in our room and just changed clothes all day and not used everything we brought. lol As Rose said every night you dressed for dinner - no such thing as Casual night - some were just more formal than the others.

We went for a 7 day cruise to Nassau in the Bahamas from New York. No dock there - had to walk down a ramp on the side of the ship to a tender - no Paradise Island or Atlantis - just the flea market and some shops. Regardless, it got us all hooked on crusing and although we never cruised together again we all continued to cruise til this day.

Our first was on the Carnival Sensation Sept 1997 for our delayed honeymoon. We flew into Miami the night before, our first trip to the city. It was a Compuserve group cruise. We met up with about 60 others from all over, including a couple from Belgium. Our ports were San Juan, St Thomas, and St Martin. The cruise was more then we imagined and we became hooked!
