So, where were you when the Phillies won the pennant?

(My thirteen year old nephew took off of school so that he could be a part of the festivities last week.)

Amazingly, it was very difficult to find the World Series on any TV on the ship except in our cabin. The cruise left from Brooklyn, and had quite a few people who were from Phiily, but could only find one bar (a disco) that had it on TV, and that bar only had tiny TV's. The only other bar that had it on, was the Cigar Bar (ugh). People called to ask why it wasn't on the MUTS screen, and the reply was "What's the World Series?". So, needless to say, we spent more time in our cabin some evenings than we wanted. :thumbdown:

I would also bet that if a New York team was in the Series, it would be much different.

No kidding!

Well, at least you got to watch some of it, right? I guess we have never sailed during baseball season. Lots of basketball and football. I remember a couple of Monday Night football events in the sports bar. Sounds like the ship might have missed out on a party opportunity. Oh well. You can still be proud of being a Phillie lover, right?!
