coloradocruisers
Thanks Carmen! I suppose it's not too unreasonable to live with.

zebra
We never use room service at this time of the night anyway - hope the charges stop there.... we do like to have morning coffee delivered to the room, and in the Med when we have a busy port day ahead we'll order breakfast in the room. ametrinel
I personally don't see a problem with the late night charge. Sarge6870
Sarge6870
One of the reasons (and it is only 1 reason amongst many) why we always try to get a Balcony is because we like to order cabin service for early morning, wakeup goodies. Seeing to how I will be sleeping between midnight and 5am, I'm good with it!!!
Jan115
People in their jammies, undies or even less(!) looking for a snack in the wee hours will be more than happy to pay the surcharge. I for one will be snoring by 11 pm due to the day's excursions and our habit of waking early.
WeCruiseToo
I remember when this was first announced. The cruise line had found that the vast majority of guests who ordered room service between midnight and 5:00am were sound asleep when it arrived. The token surcharge isn’t so much about making money as it is about saving the wasted food and labor by ensuring that those who order room service really do want it. No issues for us – we’re usually still full from dinner!
Jan115
Good point - and it makes total sense!
