For me as I am task oriented and can't really unwind until business is done first I finally settle in after all the bags are delivered and we are unpacked and our cabin is is order. That is the clothes are put away, the bathroom stuff is arranged, etc. Then its off to explore the ship and I'm finally there. What about you?

I'm probably the same way. I do all the unpacking while my guys are exploring the ship. I have to get everything organized before I can relax and enjoy myself. But somehow unpacking on a cruise ship is much more enjoyable than doing it at home  so I really don't mind.

I am like Ed - to me, the whole cruise experience begins when we leave home, if we are driving to the port. I love car trips with Greg, so the day and a half it takes to get to Galveston, is an adventure. If we are flying, it doesn't begin until I get off the plane because I HATE flying. I am sure for Greg, it would be when we actually got to the port, since he has to do the driving to get there.

My cruise begins on arrival in the departure city such as Miami or Fort Lauderdale. We normally arrive a day early to get used to the warm temperatures!! I see the day of our departure there will be 8, yes 8 ships in Ft. Lauderdale!! That's close to 40,000 people disembarking and embarking from 8-30 a. m. to 1 p. m. The place will be a madhouse!!!! But once on board in the cabin a whole new world opens up-I just can't wait for the 27 th of February-our flight to Florida.

Regards,

James.

It depends on the departure city. If we're leaving from New York, we'll drive or take a limo, and it starts the moment we leave our house. If we're flying, it starts when we land. I'm not nervous flying, but I also don't find it very relaxing.
