JoeyandDavid
Here is a question do we want to do a round trip from CA or do we want to board the ship in Hawaii? Also when is a good time to go? Joey I am going to need your help on this good buddy. Falina.. I will help where i can you know that....i also think we are going to need everyones help that may want to consider this.. now as to your answer your questions...it's just like you are planning for your own cruise.. look at both options.. see whats availible.. then choose two or 3 differnet itineraries along with pricing post athread and see if anyone's interested..... the other way to do it is book the cruise you want and then ask everyone else to join you.. to be honest we have done both.... Thanks. This gives me alot to work with. I have ordered several brochures from different cruise lines to what they all have to offer. I am ready to sail myself. Thinking this can be fun. Also thinking I should get with a real good travel agent to help me with a group one. Well I will let you know what I have when I have things figured out. May take me awhile. So if you don't hear from me for awhile you know where I am.

55ChevyLady
OK...I know with a round trip cruise you get twice the cruise and much more cost......but if you fly to Hawaii and cruise back - or vice versa and only cruise one way, is the vacation going to be basically 1/2 price? anybody understanding me here??? or will the air fare negate the diff. in the cruise fare? I was wondering the same thing. I am still looking at all the cruise lines and trying to figure out what would be best. For us we could go to Vancouver, BC(drive), cruise to Hawaii and then fly back to Vanc and drive home. Could fly to Hawaii, cruise and fly back. Am I making any sense? Gosh I hope so. Been looking most of the morning and doing paperwork.

You would have thought if NCL has a ship there all the time that they would be cheaper. Plus you have to fly to/from. Seriously going to look at leaving out of BC and fly back. Not sure yet. Still thinking.

cruisingcats
when do YOU want to go? I know you are concerned about the girls missing alot school but if we went out of Vancouver, BC on Carnival it sails in Sept. This we could do in 2011 or 2012. Carnival seems to be the cheapest in price. Celebrity has a rd tr from San Diego that sails in Feb and Mar. If we did NCL it would be more money but you fly there, sail, and fly home. Less time and the girls wouldn't miss any school. For us sailing out of Vancouver would be great. Here's something to think about if you like to do this cruise you fly into Vanc. sail to Hawaii and then fly home from Hawaii. We will talk more. The sooner we pick a date the easier the rest will be. I will have to take some time off from work but that is okay. After everything I just said I still didn't really answer your question did I? Now I am confused Help me! later
