JoeyandDavid
Royal Caribbean International has been selected as the best cruise line in Norway, for the 14th consecutive year, by the Norwegian travel industry, in their annual “Grand Travel Awards.” The award was presented Monday evening during a ceremony in Oslo. Award recipients, in 17 different categories, were evaluated on a six-point scale and selected by a jury made up of 300 professionals within the Norwegian travel industry. Fagbladet Travel News, an independent Norwegian travel trade magazine, presents the Grand Travel Awards, considered Norway’s most prestigious awards within the travel industry. “It’s a great honor to be recognized by the Norwegian travel industry for our efforts,” said Michael Bayley, senior vice president, International, for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. “This award holds special meaning to us, as it’s one we’ve received for so many years. We take great pride in our work and strive to continually improve our performance every year. It is gratifying to have those efforts, by so many of our employees, recognized in this manner.” “Each year, this competition seems to get harder and harder,” said Roar Meidal, general manager for Royal Caribbean International in Norway. “It is so rewarding to be recognized in this manner by our travel industry colleagues. We truly appreciate this honor and the growing interest the Norwegian public has shown in cruising.” Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 20 ships currently in service and two under construction
