sailingrose
You'd think with Howie being a CPA I wouldn't worry about the money......LOL! He's not even thinking Europe yet. I've been obsessing over it of course and he's hearing it but not paying attention. He knows me too well.........He thinks I always overplan things but I just don't like surprises. Better safe then sorry! I am stressed that I'm not further along in the planning but it's hard to juggle everything else and absorb all I'm reading at once. I do have Barcelona and Rome done so at least it's a start. Still watching airfares and have it down to 3 hotels so I guess I'm getting there. Does David help with any of the details????? JoeyandDavid
He thinks I always overplan things but I just don't like surprises. Better safe then sorry! That statement could have come out of my mouth... as a matter of fact it does all the time!! That is one of my travel codes Does David help with any of the details????? You are kidding right? zebra
Rose, I left my handbag in the cabin.... put my lipstick and sail card in Tony's pocket and he took the C/Card...... in his front pocket (definitely not back pocket) of his jeans. they are pretty tight on him, so someone would have to wrestle him for the loot We felt very safe that way. In his backpack we kept the camera, water bottles, poncho's and hand sanitizer...... we were all set.
sailingrose
Howie always carries his wallet in his front pocket. Guess it's a leftover from working in Manhattan for all those years. LOL! Jackie I like the idea about having Howie take all the stuff! Think I'll use that one. Joey, Howie doesn't want to do the planning.......he always tells me "whatever you want dear".....LOL! Guess that's how we stayed married so long! I was thinking a money belt would work for me...........with just a few $$ in it and my cruise card. Think that would work? Also thought about my camera, taking 2, the older one for ports and lots of memory cards so I can change them each day. This way if the camera gets stolen, they don't get all my pictures. Both cameras take the same batteries and memory cards so that should work well.
zebra
Great idea on the cameras - although not to say they won't steal cameras, but it is very much petty thieving and pick pocketing, they are most of all after money. We actually never felt unsafe, but did experience a begging gypsy with a baby in Barcelona - because of what we had read on the critical website Tony just yelled right at her "No"! And she walked off.....

mercedes
I was thinking a money belt would work for me...........with just a few $$ in it and my cruise card. Think that would work? We always wear a money belt when traveling to Europe. Mine is so worn, I have to get a new one for my next trip. The bulk of my money is in the belt and I keep a few euros in my wallet in my tote bag.
