sailingrose
I'm with David......I hate to sit around and do nothing. Won't have a computer or a phone..........purposely! LOL Still working out the details and I'll check back with you..........Maybe if I go Atlanta one way and JFK the other I can get better flight times. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the help Joey!

sailingrose
you are welcome.. i am afriad though i havent been much help... Yes, you have.......I didn't know I had to clear customs at the first stop.........so I learned that and to allow time to do so.

zebra
To: Barcelona From Orlando to JFK or Atlanta to Barcelona Home: From Barcelona to Atlanta or JFK to Orlando I'm concerned about the trip back since the flight is at around 10 am from Barcelona but the Critical board said I should be OK getting to the ship from what I read. I will be one of the first off with my Diamond +. Rose, personally I think 10 am is too early. You must dial in the fact that this is not America. They are not on the ball over there. Can you not fly in the day before your flight. I also agree with Joey about flying to or from Atlanta... much more direct!
JoeyandDavid
i just would not want to deal with the authorities in NY.. they also say Chicago is pretty bad..

sailingrose
I was trying to avoid JFK at all cost. We'll have to keep watch on the fares. The difference is a couple of hundred each. Jackie, we are going 2 days a head but really don't have the ability to stay over after we get off the ship as Howie will have work to do the day after we come back to catch up with the office. It's a Sunday and he'll be able to catch up with our son and deal with everything while there are no phones........whenever we go away it's always a zoo when we get back. TheSkipper
Rose: The last two times we returned to the U.S. from Europe we missed our connecting flights. Once in NYC and once in DC. You must claim your baggage, wheel it through customs inspection and then recheck it onto your next flight. And, of course you have to go through immigration to have your passport stamped. All of this takes a lot of time, so don't cut it too close between flights. Also, most airports in Europe are a zoo in the AM and Jackie is correct the general attitude is they could not care less if you make your flight. And flight departures are often delayed. We were two hours late getting our of Vienna. All of that being said, have a fantastic trip and I know you will.
sailingrose
Do you think 3 1/2 hours in between flights on the way home is too little?????
