Joey,

I'll get you the name of one I've stayed at twice. Right on the Strand. You want to be near a "tube" station. The London Underground is fantastic, easy and safe. Will get you anywhere you want to go.

I lived in London for two years, worked right across the street from the American Embassy. Never owned a car while there used public transport to get everywhere.

When are you thinking of going??

Joey, if you go in June you will get a chance to celebrate the Queen’s birthday which is celebrated every year on the second Saturday in June. The Queen leaves Buckingham Palace in her horse-drawn carriage to drive down Horse Guards Parade for Trooping the Color. Probably the most spectacular annual military display in the UK.

thanks for the link Carmen i will check it out.. but june is David's last class of the year.. July is the earliest we can get away... do you think if i emailed the Queen do you thik she would postpone her little party till we get there?
