Dream Vacation (revisited)

A few months back, someone asked what our dream vacation would be (money being no object).

So, I'm driving home last night and it hit me. My dream cruise/vacation.

Fly to Europe. Not sure where. Not sure of the itinerary. But plan on spending at least 7 days, by rail, by car, by foot, by sea. Who cares!

Cruise the transatlantic back to Miami. Preferably with a ship that stops at a few ports on the way back.

Once in Miami, find a truly fabulous Caribbean cruise. No sense wasting time "hurrying to catch the next plane." Leisurely spend the next 7-14 days in the Caribbean or even in South America.

Then head back to Tucson.

Now, that's what I call a dream vacation (for starts). Once I do this, I'm sure my horizons will expand.

Best like that......

Fly to Ireland - with my friend for a short personal tour.

At least a few pubs.....

Then to the UK for a Premier division soccer game.

London for a day or so to walk about.

Train - Chunnell to France to Paris on walk about one or two days.

Train to Gremany or Austria for October fest - long weekend there.

Fly to Rome for a walk about in the city.

Then to Spain for repositioning cruise home to FLL.

Rent car to Disney and there to park hop for 5 days - fly home - report in dead after that.

Sound great but you might want to add more time in Europe. Very interesting place.

Yes. But there is only so much clothes I could haul around. ;):wink2:

That's a great dream.....and a big dream - sounds great to me! Take me with you?

Well... I am single ... but who are you going on those other cruises with???? :rolleyes2:

To heck with packing lots of clothes. If we have this kind of money to be able to afford a LONG vacation, I can afford to buy stuff to wear.

I like the suggestion of longer time in Europe.

So, when I shared this with Jerry, I told him that all he needed to do was win the lottery. While he didn't think that winning the lottery was a chance, he did say that this type of vacation would be very nice to take.

I figure about $10,000 per person minimum. Taking 3 weeks off would be more of a burden in terms of playing catch-up one you return. I just hate that you don't feel like you've been on vacation when yo have to play catch-up. So I guess if we really start saving, we could possibly pull this off. Yep, and a few winning lottery tickets would also fit the bill.
