JoeyandDavid
you know the way the airlines are going...it may get to a point where it wil be cheaper to buy your bags their own seat... "please stowe all passengers in the bins over head or under the seat in front of you!...thank you"
rogue
It will definitely be cheaper to have the ship launder my clothes on our next cruise. wow.... that's great information Howard!! and thats why i started using onboard services..Plus i hate to lug luggage Joey, who do you use for that service? After looking at all of the charges, it might not be so expensive to have this service.
Sunbeam
The best thing to do is to buy a luggage scale. what we use is the bathroom scales and pack to 47 pounds... so far that has worked well I bought a fish scale , (very easy to store in the checked luggage in case it is needed) as we were having so much trouble at the airports down south. The trick for the people behind the counter at the airport was to tell us that our bags were too heavy and that it would cost us $20cdn per kilograms (I wonder if the airport ever saw that money). We were entitled to 20 kgs (44 pounds) per person and up to 2 bags per person. So now we manage with lower than 30 kgs for the 2 of us (66 pounds). 55ChevyLady
has anyone looked into shipping your bags via FedEx or UPS...provided you are going to a hotel first...might be cheaper than paying to check the bags. I know Hubby as told me people are doing that nowdays...
