OK here is the scenerio...

You are planning to take a cruise with another individual.. after disccusion you opt for a veranda stateroom.. the cruise is for 13 days and the itinerary is your dream destination.. so what it all boils down to is ....what would you be willing to pay for a 13 day cruise to your dream destination? Keep in mind that airfare may be additional; but by your post you are indicating that your price would be a completed price with all taxes and port charges included..

How much would you be willing to pay for a dream? ( and thanks for playing my game!)

Oh I see what this is about.

what is it about Kevin?

For us because of destination (Egypt and the holy land) we would figure a price of approx $192 and some change per person per day or 2500 per person for the cruise... would be a great deal...

Our cruise to Hawaii is about the most expensive that we have ever done and pretty close to a dream vacation when you look at sea days, port days (not necessarily destination), cruiseline, and time of year.

We booked over 10 months in advance, veranda cabin, as close to the middle of the deck without an obstructed view. All said and done (air, hotel before we leave, cruise, port charges and taxes) came to $5000 total.

Sail from San Diego, at sea for the next 4.5 days; arrive Hilo at noon on Friday; sail overnight to Kona; sail overnight to Honolulu, sail overnight to Maui and spend 2 days at Maui. Then sail home, arriving back to San Diego 5 days later.

Our last cruise was two 8-days put together on Carnival. Two days at sea followed by 3 stops; two days at sea; repeated. Again, Veranda suite, unobstructed view. About $4000 total (air, hotel, car rental, food in Fla, cruise, taxes, port charges, etc.)

Right now the $5000 was a stretch to our budget. But we most certainly realize that it's a vacation most worthwhile. If we flew to Hawaii and planned to stay even in one place for a week, it would probably cost us more than the entire package.

the question is .... did you feel you got MORE than your moneys worth?

OMG - Yes! Our 16-day cruise came out to $125/person - all inclusive and NO WORRIES. The biggest decision was what to wear!?

Where can you go and be treated like royalty for that price?

Even our Hawaii vacation comes to $166/person. That too is so worth it!

I just priced it out and it came in at $3099 before fees for just a 12 day cruise... so we will put this onthe back burner to simmer and see if the price falls
