Industry giant Carnival rolled out yet another promotion today, one that promises "cash back" of up to $240 per cabin on nearly all new bookings for summer.

The world's biggest cruise line says the new offer is available starting immediately for bookings on most of the line's three- to eight-day summer departures to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexico from 14 North American ports. Bookings must be made by May 10, 2009.

Under the terms of the offer, vacationers who book a three- or four-night cruise will get cash back (in the form of a shipboard credit) of $100 per cabin. Passengers on five-night cruises will get $150 per cabin. Passengers on six-, seven- or eight-night cruises will get $240 per cabin.

The shipboard credit automatically will be applied to passengers' Sail & Sign accounts when they board their cruise and can be redeemed toward shore excursions, spa treatments, gift shop items and other onboard purchases. Any unused funds at the end of the cruise will be returned to passengers on the last day of the cruise in the form of a check.

The new promotion is valid with the line's Fun Select advance purchase discount fares, is capacity controlled and applies to new individual bookings for cabin categories 4A to 11. Request fare code OCB when making a reservation.
