Thanks Debbie, that was really a great and helpful review. You didn't mention the age of the ship.... is she looking "long in the tooth"? By the way we cruised to from Hawaii to Vancouver in May and had perfect weather all the way, not even any high seas. We were on the Infinity.

Crazie left the house this morning and should be at the post office waiting to get back to Mary Lou's.

I hope to be able to have pictures loaded by next week. I took about 8 rolls of film but I'm not sure how they will turn out.

I thought the Mercury looked great. We had sailed on it a number of years ago (San Francisco to Mexican Riviera). Since then, there were some noticable upgrades/changes made throughout. The darker colors have been replaced lighter oak type colors or ligher chair colors. The stair walls had more photographs, a more modern appeal/look.

Mercury will be enroute to Alaska by May. So the information from the ship's staff and crew about the seas was probably based on their wintering in Hawaii.

If you have the time and want to be able to relax A LOT, I highly recommend the sea days, as long as you realize that the weather is very ifffy (at best!)
