is that coffee really that bad on Celebrity?

I put enough Baileys in mine just OK coffee tastes good to me. :cool2:

Andrea.. I was very pleased to discover on our Mercury cruise that they recently changed from a coffee concentrate to a bean product ... which produces a decent cup of coffee.. so I am very anxious to see what the Crazies think...

heres a follow up .. knowing that the ship had a limited number availible...would you be willing pay an addition fee/surcharge at the time of booking for an in stateroom coffee maker ..

no, because the ones I have had in hotels, even the limited number of high-end hotels we have stayed out weren't great and didn't make good coffee. the little bags of coffee they supply you with are not strong enough and some of the pots only made one cup at a time! and that pot was at a so-called 4 star hotel in Galveston.

I'll wait for Room service.

Joey...I don't know what you mean by a coffee concentrate...does that mean some kind of coffee like syrup that they water down, like coke-cola syrup???

Jerry and I liked Carnival's coffee, it was a bit strong, but we do put cream in ours, and you know me...

Coffee Pot!!!! I usually carry one aboard or bring my french press. I'm a coffee lover so the ship stuff just doesn't cut it, especially in the morning.

I wasn't even going to read any of these and just post, an in-room coffee pot. Lo and behold the first entry where MY EXACT THOUGHTS. I'm even willing to bring the filters and coffee.

We have already planned to bring our own coffee with us along with a small coffee maker on the Crazies cruise. That should make a nice gift to our cabin attendant when we disembark. The room that it took up on the way down should be filled with souvenirs.

I didn't even pack the one that I bought. Jerry and I went to the store in San Diego. I plopped the filters and coffee in my carry-on and just walked on the ship with the box. I got a spoon from the pool deck and every day got a fresh mug. Like I posted in my review, I made an extra pot for the room steward and his assistant almost daily (used up 2 10 oz bags of coffee). I left everything in the room when we disembarked. Total cost was less than $12. Aggrevation spared: PRICELESS

You don't want to see me until I've had a cup of coffee in the morning.......my kids were trained not to ask questions, make comments or come near me until I've had my 1st cup......They only made that mistake once each.........call it self-preservation for them.
