DebbieandJerry
We are very quick to try new things. That's how Jerry found out that he loves Frog Legs, Escargot, Molten Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Mousse, Creme Brulee. Besides, if you don't like it, you can get something else. jacketwatch
Go for the new. Definitely. I would expect that most travelers would be adventerous. last cruise for me I tried frog legs, rabbit and whatever else I could that was different. And I MUST try a local brew in every port. One experience I'll alwasy cherish is drinking kava with some locals when were were in Fiji.
zebra
Us too... always try the new foods - I can make or get "same old" back home.
cruisetarp
I usually try new things, knowing I can get something else if I don't like it. (Still won't try the escargot though). Jim loves to try new things so I generally just take a taste of his so I don't waste things I don't like.
boba
I always choose my entree by what I've never or seldom had before. That's how I found out about escargot, creme brulee, chilled soup....

rogue
The one thing about cruising is that if you take the chance on something new, and don't like it, just ask for something else and you'll get it.
DebbieandJerry
The one thing about cruising is that if you take the chance on something new, and don't like it, just ask for something else and you'll get it. We had first time cruisers at our table this last time. They had a hard time wrapping their minds around that concept. It took one really bad entree for them to realize that they had to ask for something else or they would be very hungry. By the end of the cruise, they were ordering 2 of this, 2 of that, a little taste of this. We were so proud of them!
Gregswife
I stick with the basics...steak, potatoes and chocolate...chili dogs and hamburgers...can't go wrong USEALLY. Jim, you can order dinner for me anytime. I am a creature of habit - I do not try new foods. Almost every day on a cruise, I have a hot dog with saurkraut and onions and fruit. If Carnival has the nacho bar open, I will partake of it. For dinner, I usually have a steak - I don't much care for beef dishes with fancy sauces on them - just give me a steak and bring the A-1. I like simple foods. As for sushi - I never could understand the hype about it...you can get a bucket of minnows for about $2...isn't it basically the same thing???
