DebbieandJerry
Has the overall quality of the food gone down or have we been on too many cruises? As I think back to our first two or three cruises and our reactions to some of the entrees, you would have thought we had died and gone to heaven. Fast forward 10 to 15 years, the bar has already been set and Jerry and I find ourselves comparing this year's Beef Wellington to last year's. So, we are learning not to compare and to be extremely greatful that we can continue to afford our cruises.

David and I too tend to set the bar higher than some, and personally I think it is vitally important to compare past performance with current expectations...when we settle for less how is that good for us?.. as they say in the theater "you are only as good as your last performance".. so performance for us will always dictate upon our repeat business or whether we leave our old favorites in search of a new level of pleasure and satisfaction. Don't get me wrong we too are grateful to be able to travel.... and now more than ever, when our vacation dollars mean so much they will be dictated by performance. DebbieandJerry
Joey, points well taken. I guess I was trying to come up with a positive spin on why things have changed.

I think that many people set the bar far beyond what should be expected. That's why there are people who seem to hate almost every cruise they take. I'm not sure why these people cruise.
