Kevin ~ I thought we spent a lot of money on pictures! and we only spent around $250 or so and left a lot behind. :sad2:

but i know what you mean about getting the family all dressed up fancy for pics! we would never get dressed up like that again and have those kind of settings w/o going to a pro and spending a lot more!

WOW, Kevin. They must be happy to see you coming aboard!!

Ed: The photographers and bar tenders love me.

Andrea: Thanks. That's what I meant. My problem is, once the pictures are taken, I have a hard time leaving any of them behind.

Kevin: I'm sure they are!! Do you give them advance notice so they can stock up on photo paper??

OMG Kevin, where do you hang all these pictures?

Rose-

Most of them go in albums. We have one album for Sharon and me, and one for each of the three kids. The only cruise photos on the wall are on the stairwell, where we have one 8 x 11 group shot from each cruise we've been on next to a photo of each ship. Remember though, I haven't been on nearly as many cruises as you or Ed.

I agree that the ship pictures are fabulous. Now that they have digital cameras, they can evaluate how good the shot is right then and there. And, I agree that it's not everyday that the family is dressed "to the nines" and in one place at one time. But, honestly, why do they have to charge so much money? They have the throw away bin and I know that there are thousands in that bin. If they lowered the prices, perhaps more folks would purchase the pictures.

There was a great picture of Jerry and me with the Captain of the Mercury. They wanted $29.95 for the 8x10. Come on now. For our photo album?

But that is a lovely picture of you and your hubby in your new avatar.

I agree about the cost of cruise photo's! what a rip off. We have so many "formal" cruise photo's.... and have been thinking lately that it might be nice just to go to WalMart and have a professional photo taken in a casual scene. The photo'd they have taken of our grandkids are awesome and for a fraction of the price. We live in Florida - where everything leans towards "casual" - so all my formal photo's are a little out of place. I now want a picture of us with the sand between our toes and the wind blowing our hair.........
