JoeyandDavid
Oh that's a good idea Joey - I never thought of that! give David credit for that .. all those years on the road for Amtrak gave him packing skillz.. I've done that before but never put the clothes in ziplock bags. and for the better clothes maybe put tissue paper in with them. but how does your men's shirts do? I still get some wrinkles He has it down to a science.... shirts are fine..
zebra
So do these jumbo bags keep the clothing wrinkle free?
JoeyandDavid
Andrea - Hefty makes the ones I use. They come in a red and yellow box - JUMBO size - 2.5 gallons. I can easily fit shorts/capris, shirt and underwear in each bag. ours may be hefty too now that you mention it... i say zip-lock as a generic name for a bag that seals...,. DebbieandJerry
I tried a little bit of everything this past cruise. I did the roll for day wear, underwear, bathing suits, etc. I did the plastic for night wear and evening clothes. Can't say I noticed any difference as to what wrinkled more. For the trip home, I rolled everything that was dirty, even the stuff that went to the cleaners. Worked just fine in terms of being able to stuff lots of stuff in the suitcase. BTW: I love the idea of the zip lock/hefty bags. I used the plastic from the cleaners. I'm going to invest in some of the larger bags for clothes. I use them for shampoo, etc. but not for clothing. Thanks
sailingrose
I do a combo of both. Dress clothes lay flat with dry clean bags between and roll the other stuff. I also put my undergarments in a ziplock bag, don't want anyone handling them.......
elfed
I tightly roll all socks, underwear, all shirts, trousers, sweaters and ties. My jackets (2) are usually last to be packed and I fold these on top. I use a medium to large suitcase for cruises of all lengths. If needed, I use the ship's laundry rather than taking along more clothes. Regards, James.
