Thanks for sharing! Great article! Every cruise we say that we're not going to purchase that many pictures or buy that many souveniers, but that never happens. We end up buying most of the pictures, and on that last sea day we go crazy at the shops.

I end up buying the pictures too, but I don't feel "assualted" as the guy int the article semed to feel. I consider it a service that I don't otherwise take advantage of back home. Three options for the poor guy: 1) don't buy the ones you don't like, 2) don't stop to look at them, 3) don't sit for them. It's like the bar, the casino, or anything else. OPTIONAL

And who's charging a mandatory gratuity? I've yet to come across that. Is that an RCL thing?

it couldn't have been because she indicated it was an all inclusive cruise... no main line cruises offer that luxury..( that i know of)

I went back and re-read that part. He said this happened on the Carival Glory.

ok i missed that..thanks for catching that.. we don't do Carnival wasnt aware that they had all inclusive rates..

Kevin I realize that when Tim Gallagher, (the Carnival spokesman) spouts statements like Carnival cruise remains a "very inclusive" vacation. It send s a false message to the consumer...which i find appalling.. but then again.. i march to a different drummer

That's what my point is .....I know Carnival doesn't offer all inclusive..

I would refuse and I do eat beef.. and trust me ... if Celebrity tries to implement it as well while we are on the Connie i will be so freaking disapointed.... I may have to say something...
