Should cruise lines offer compensation for missed Mexico ports?

If all the port stops are in Mexico or at least most of them then refunding the port fees really doesn't amount to much. I see in this thread that CCL offered a full refund towards a future cruise which is really fair. I would hope the other cruise lines would do this. I would hate to have a cruise with all or most Mexican ports and have it turn into a Mexican pacific coastal cruise with no port stops. Even with an OBC it would be unacceptable for us. Actually if folks don't get off in port I would think there would be more money spent on the ship that day. So in short I hope all the cruise lines do like CCL.

Is Cozumel also off the port stop list? Its Mexico but its also geographically separate.

I think all of Mexico is off the list.. both coasts and whats in between as well

Hopefully for Mexico this issue will be resolved by the time the winter or peak season begins.

I have a few friends going on a Western Caribbean cruise in a couple of weeks, and they will be diverted. They don't really care, because they just want to cruise.
