QUESTION FOR THOSE USING BLACKBERRY PHONES ON CRUISE SHIPS

Please tell me about using your BlackBerry phone while on ship to check and send email messages.

Did you have to purchase one of the cruise ship's internet packages where you buy a certain number of minutes or pay per minute that you used your BlackBerry to check and send email?

Could you be in your stateroom and use your BlackBerry to access and send email?

Judson, see my reply on the Connie Goes Crazie thread. The Celebrity website has a brochure that decribes how it works. You use the Blackberry and pay roaming charges through your provider from the point in the US that receives the signal.
