Bingo Aboard Ship

:cool2: No bingo for me, thanks. DW plays every day and she says it cost $35 for a package every time. I can find thousands of things to do on a cruise ship better than playing bingo, like taking a nap in lounge chair up on deck. Now that's exciting.lol :cool2:

We use to play every single one of them (and won a lot). There were times when at least one of us would run out of the dining hall to make sure that there were bingo cards for everyone. Not anymore.

1. The cost of the card is way too high

2. The game isn't really fun (Some ships have computerized the game and you really do nothing)

3. The last cruise Celebrity would 'advertise' a certain pot, but it never happened. As a matter of fact, Jerry and I went to one game for the $700 jackpot. We paid $30 for the ticket and sat in the room. Hardly anyone was in there. The MC then said, because hardly anyone is here, we will defer this jackpot to tomorrow. Save your ticket. So we saved our ticket. Went the next day. The lady at the desk informed us that we couldn't use the ticket and had to purchase another one. Dummy us did that. After losing that very fast game, I marched myself to the purser's desk and waited until I got my original $30 back. Thought it was all taken care of until the last day. The charge magically re-appeared. Took almost 2 hours to get it removed, again. Each time we explained what happened. Each time we were told that we should have been able to play that card. Needless to say, NO MORE BINGO for this couple.

I forgot to add that we were not the only unhappy BINGO campers. Lots of other folks muttering about the cost of the ticket, the lack of knowing how much money you were playing for before the game was called and the fact that the jackpot prize (which was advertised in the paper) was never given out.
