I don't pay attention to the negative reviews, because as I'm reading it, I realize how the person is complaining about everything. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy and complaining on a cruise ship.

That is what I see too. If its all negs or seems like the complaints are out of proportion then IMHO its the poster.

I also take them with a grain of salt. Like to read them & then feel my personal experience is what counts in the end.

Absolutely feel that the author plays a key role in either positive or negative reviews.

Yes, definitely. You can pick up a vibe too and if it sounds like a rant take it with a grain of salt.

I can usually tell when the author starts to pick on small things as what ruined a cruise for them that they are not my type of reviewer. I have never been on any cruise where there was no problems at all. I can't let the little things upset me on a cruise so when I see that this has happened with a reviewer, I know that I can't trust him (or her).

I like to read the bad reviews. Not sure why but it tells me alot about the people writing the review if they know what they are talking about. Alot of thier gripes are really petty.

Do you guys remember a year or two ago when the couple got banned from travelling RCL because of all the negative stuff they were complaining about? RCL thought they were trying to just get free vacations out of them. Makes me sit back and wonder what the motive is about a negative review. Surely there has to be a positive inter-mingled somewhere in there, don't ya think?

Yes some people can find the negative in a beautiful day , I have never had a bad cruise or vacation sometimes I wonder why these people go on vacation.
