We consider it a necessary part of the pre-cruise ritual. Besides, there isn't much else to do, and we want our kids to know where to go.

We too have been to all of them. Once it is over, the cruise really does start and so with it the best part of being on vacation.

Never missed one as it's just a part of the cruise experience. Besides, it makes for another photo op. Maybe we should start a thread to post lifeboat drill photos.

Okay guys, let me clarify....we always check where our muster station is and we have been to enough of them to know how to put our life jacket on, and blow the whistle, how to board the life boat, etc. so be assured if there is an emergency, we are not going to trample everyone in a panic or get lost on our way to the muster station. I have never seen a photographer taking pics at the muster drills. We will attend the one on our upcoming cruise in Oct. because Jessica has never cruised and Chris hasn't been on one in 13 years, so I definitely want both of them to attend, but the one in Jan., I wil be looking for opportunities to duck out!!! We have a suite on that cruise, with a seperate bedroom, sitting room and walk in closet, so I am thinking there will be many hiding places... :biggrin:

My husband and I have never missed a lifeboat drill. We wait inside(with a drink) until the very last minute before we go to line up. When we line up I have a drink in one hand and a hand led fan in the other hand. This makes the drill almost bearable!

Part of the cruise expirence.

Grandma on the other hand just sat quietly in the cabin while we went to then the few times she cruised.

I like that idea.

First cruise I took the camera and took a lot of pictures. Second time they made a big deal about no cameras but Steve wouldn't have let me bring it anyway.
