cruznchris
We have been to everyone but, if we thought we could get out of it we would. It is usually the most stressful part of the cruise besides debarkation. Where we go its usually warm and stuffy no air moving and being shoulder to shoulder and front to back gives me that closed in no escape feeling. There were a couple we went on that did some type of counting system. They knew people were missing and kept making announcements until all had showed up. They announced the boat wouldnt leave port till it was done. we were there a good 45 min before the last stragglers showed...
Peachy1
Last May I was staying in my room when the steward came and I am on a scooter. Told him, no way was I going to go through all that with oxygen and a scoot. Later he came back and had me sigh a document stating that I took responsibility for myself. Haven't gone to lifeboat drill in about 3 years, and that document was a first for me. I'll sign them every time if need be... dougfw
I've been on four different cruise lines and on every one, they've made a roll call before beginning. One time somebody didn't answer repeatedly so they went to look for her as they would not start the drill until she was present. She had 2000 people really pissed at her for a day or two since everyone knew her name. It's a hassle but it's part of the ritual and may even save your life so we just go. But I didn't know you could take drinks with you so I'll have my beer with me next time!!
BSCorvette
OMG .. our first cruise they were calling out names... LOL I'd be way to chicken. Steve really can't being a peace officer. We usually get in enough trouble getting his badge through security. We can't get caught doing too much except smuggling booze. We feel confident we can blame that on me. LOL \ Smuggling booze? Now how did you do that you criminal you??? I need tips! lol
