GottaCruz
I always take a craft project, either a small needlepoint or a crochet project. I also don't leave home without my eye mask, though maybe others pack that too???

TheSkipper
Jobowl: I also take a very short extension cord with multi-outlets, a travel clock and duct tape. But, I never leave without my Swiss Army knife. A big one with every tool known to man.
rogue
I've taken a handheld ham radio in the past, but not lately. Didn't get much response.

Shaunna
Three small fans to make the noise of one big fan and plenty of extension cords to plug them all in. Can't sleep without my jet airplane next to my head.

He made a contact in Ketchikan, AK when we were on a cruise. I think he also contacted someone in Grand Cayman. I always bring my Swiss Army knife too....and a corkscrew, of course. But I guess those aren't considered unusual.
